Glendale’s third Village Administrator, served from
April 22, 2011 to April 14 2017 (6yrs)



Loretta Rokey, Glendale’s third Administrator, was hired in April of 2011. She previously worked as the City of Milford City Manager. Loretta was responsible for many improvements in Glendale and worked closely with the Council and employees to promote operational networking and cost effectiveness. She wrote and received several significant capital improvement grants, allowing for the continued improvement of Glendale’s infrastructure. Loretta left the Village of Glendale to become the Administrator of Pierce Township, Clermont County, in June of 2017.

Returned As Administrator : July 24, 2017 to Present


Walter (Wally) Cordes, a fifth generation Wyoming resident with a professional background in Law Enforcement and Public Administration, was involved in many Glendale improvements and operational programs, including; the acquiring, renovating & repurposing the Village Square Train Depot, renovation of the Village Square, development of the 5/3 Bank building and operations, renovation of the Village Office, acquiring and development of two municipal parking lots, over $10M in roadway and public improvement grants, new park restrooms, computerization of all operations, renovation of the Town Hall (Council room, restrooms, kitchen, firehouse, elevator), renovation and modernization of the wastewater sewage plant and the water treatment plant, water main improvements, new high capacity water tower, sanitary and storm sewer main improvements, street sign and entry sign renovations, removal of storm water infiltration, virtual elimination of basement sewage backups, Tree City USA (15) awards, establishment as a Certified Local Government (CLG), televising Council meetings, resident half-staff flag memorials, resident new born baby (tree plaque) program, Park Board free seedling and discount tree program, residential recycling program, emergency power generation at strategic public buildings, residential electric and natural gas aggregation programs, and development of numerous new subdivisions (Carruther’s Pond, Warwick, Glen Meadow, Matthews, Linden, South Troy, St. Edmund’s, Irish Way, and Garfield subdivisions). During his tenure he worked for Mayor Harry M. Matthews, Thomas U. Todd, Alexander J. Brockmeier and Joseph C. Hubbard. Wally will always be best known for his open door policy, resources and solutions.

Update: On July 24, 2017 Walter Cordes was asked to return to duty as their Interim Administrator, replacing Administrator Loretta Rokey. On October 2, 2017 Mr. Cordes accepted a permanent appointment as the Glendale Village Administrator, working for Mayor Donald Lofty.





Al Ledbetter

Glendale's first Village Administrator, served from
April 1982 to October 1988


Al Ledbetter was hired by the Village of Glendale as the Assistant Service Director on November 3, 1980 and was then appointed as Service Director upon the retirement of Bob McMillan on March 31, 1981.

The position of Village Administrator was established by ordinance in April 1982 and Al was appointed as Glendale’s first Village Administrator. Al oversaw various capital improvements within the Village, including the issuance of $2.2 million in Bonds for the Village for the purpose of paying costs of Improvements to the Sewage Treatment Plant, a Sidewalk Replacement and Safety Improvement Program, yearly street repairs, paving programs, and more.

Al was responsible for improving personnel records and record keeping. He created a Handbook for Village Employees in which policies and procedures were first outlined. Al left the Village in October 1988 to serve as the Safety Service Director for Sharonville, Ohio. He was replaced by Walter W. Cordes II.
